This cabin was the perfect setting for our weekend getaway for six. Booking was easy. The property manager Jason was prompt in responding to my inquiries both via email and text. Because traffic delayed our arrival time, he left us the key in a lock box by the door. The driveway, which accommodated our three vehicles, was cleared of snow and Jason had kindly left the heater on for us. The house itself was cozy and was set up perfectly for us to lounge about, watch TV, and play games while staying close to the gas fireplace and the kitchen (i.e., the food). For the techies, the cabin has WiFi and my husband had no problem hooking up his gaming system and streaming movies off his computer onto the TV. Even if we had forgotten to bring our own entertainment, there were plenty of DVDs and board games at the house. The cabin also had several towels, blankets, and pillows, which gave us more space in our cars for our snow gear. We did buy extra toilet paper--although we ended up not needing it--and could have used another large trash bag for our recyclables. With respect to the kitchen, it had everything we needed to prepare our meals (except for chopsticks, which we didn't think we would need until we started cooking). Even if you find yourself wanting something, Vons and Starbucks are just a short drive away. While some of us had fun on the slopes, the rest of us shopped at the fun gift stores in the Village and ate at the Big Bear Lake Brewing Company (great food & beer). Overall, we had a wonderful trip and I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a relaxing getaway.
