Well appointed and modern

Date of Stay:

My family and I stayed at this home for the Christmas Holiday. Location was great, close to resort, grocery stores, shops, lake, and being a corner property was awesome. The home is next to a sloped street which was ideal for a short sled activity for the kids. The kitchen had all you need to cook most dishes. The bathrooms were modern and very functional. The wifi was sufficient to stream movies when you just want to stay home and relax. The upstairs living room was a great space to lounge, watch TV, read a book, etc. Lots of natural lights through the huge windows overlooking the front of the house. The room upstairs with the twin beds is not too comfortable and makes a noise every time you move which could be annoying depending on your tolerance level. Also, my kid's sled was stolen from the front balcony overnight. Maybe I shouldn't have left it there but do remember to bring your personal items just to be safe. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would not hesitate to stay over again. Jason the property manager was extremely helpful and accessible and very proactive.

Great Cabin

Date of Stay:

You always take a gamble renting a cabin, but you won't have any issues with this one. It was recently renovated, and is very sturdy and relaxing. Beds/showers/electronics/kitchen - everything worked as expected. Seems like most of the cabins we have rented in the past have creaky beds or floors, but not this one. Super easy to get to the ski resorts and grocery stores. Jason the property manager was super responsive to any issues. Highly recommend.

Diamond in the rough (kinda)

Date of Stay:

Great home! Home seemed to be caught between construction. Some of the home still needed some touch ups. Gas stove not properly being installed was a cause of worry, and gas leaking inside the home. Home could use a manual or a welcome guide book. There was fire wood, but it was all stuck in the snow, so maybe a better place for the snow would have been ideal. But overall great home. The upstairs bedroom had the smallest bed in the world, might want to replace it with a normal twin. TV/living room downstairs need some attention, and should be made the heart of the home. Black old couches need to go! We will be staying at the same home again next year, especially if the changes are made.

Amazing stay

Date of Stay:

We went to Big Bear for our son's 8th birthday. We and our friends had an amazing time. We found the cabin very comfortable and nicely updated. It is also a very central location. Jason, the property manager, was very pleasant and answered all of our questions. He was also fast in refunding our damage deposit. We can't wait to go again.

Great family vacation home

Date of Stay:

The house is very warm, welcoming! and has all the comforts you would expect from your own home! We loved the location as it was central and easy to get to all parts of town. Jason is great host and answered our questions/queries promptly. It's a great place to stay for a getaway to Big Bear!

Nice but needs some help

Date of Stay:

This home is in a great location, close to everything, It's clean and comfortable. I did have some issues, when I arrived the home did not have any trash bags (not even one in the trash bin), and no toaster, that was the start (manager did offer to bring some trash bags in the morning). For over 500.00 a night I expected a few nicer amenities, the pillows were absolutely horrible (flat and only one per guest) so make sure you bring your own, the sheets are not soft at all. There is no household products, no shampoo, conditioner, water in the master bedroom does not get hot, warm at best, toilet paper is the worst on the market. The beds upstairs were falling apart, the cheap frame were separating while my kids slept on them. There are no TV's in any of the bedrooms, but the internet does work well. Basically, when it comes down to it based on product and amenities, I felt like it was lower then a Motel 6, it's unfortunate because this home could be amazing if they just had a little more consideration for the traveler and spent a tiny bit more money for comfort.

Roomy, comfy and Conveinent

Date of Stay:

Great home, close to everything with tons of space. Awesome shower in master bedroom. Plenty of room for your kids to bring their friends. In the garage there were awesome bikes and a kayak. The local park with basketball, tennis and horseshoes is a short walk down the block. You feel like you are at a country club. We biked everyday and went into the village which is a short 5 minute drive or 10 minute bike ride. Great kitchen amenities were provided and the convection oven was awesome. Rented a movie one night and the surround sound system was great. Will come back for sure. Thanks!

Great spot for a Labor Day reunion weekend

Date of Stay:

We had a great stay here. Everything worked well and the renters were very responsive. It accommodated our group well, which included three adult couples and some small children. It would have been a little tight if we had had 10 adults.

Nice place, could be better!

Date of Stay:

The house is very nice. It accommodated our family of 10 just fine. We spent Thanksgiving there and was able to pull off a great meal in an unknown kitchen. A risky but a fun challange. That altitude can really mess with your cooking timing! The appliances were good quality and got the job done. The pots/pans and small cooking utensils were a mishmash of random stuff. Please invest in a toaster. Some people like toast or a bagel with breakfast. There were some things that fell short. It seems that there has been some extensive work/renovaton going on. That's good, but it shouldn't be apparant to your guests. Lots of little things lying around and in drawers that show me it's not completely finished. The drawer front in the kitchen (top one, left of sink, with the silverware) partially fell off. It had been taped back together and not properly repaired. I found a slightly longer screw and managed to get it to hold. It should be properly fixed before te next people rent it. There was a dead battery in one of the smoke alarms...beep....beep..beep. I removed it. The batteries were dead in that fancy universal remote upstairs. The towel bar in the downstairs hall bathroom is pulling out of the wall. The window latch/lock in the master bathroom was broken off and sitting on the window sill. I might suggest a welcome book that gives you the WiFi password, checkout instructions, information on how to use the TV/audio system upstairs, how to lock the sliding doors on the downstairs bedroom deck and any other pertinent information about the house. Some of the furniture is pretty dated for such an extensive renovation. Maybe it's just another expense that you don't want to deal with yet. Some curtains to cover the big sliding door would be nice. At night you felt like people can be looking in. For what we paid a night I would expect to see a bit more. All in all, we had a excellent time and made some great family memories. 3.5 stars...could easily be 5!

Great place for a great value

Date of Stay:

We had a fabulous time at this house for a birthday party/ski trip this past weekend. The house was warm, comfortable, and everyone was really impressed with the overall quality and condition of the home. You can tell that the home is very well taken care of, and the home owners were always very quick to respond to any questions we might have. Overall, they were great people to rent from! Our group consisted of 8 people, and the house was the perfect size for us - plenty of common areas to enjoy, but also big enough bedrooms and bathrooms that everyone had their own private space. Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your property!

Amazing

Date of Stay:

Great Cabin, close to the ski slopes plenty of room to spread out, everything was provided, very helpful staff, nice kitchen three showers

Great home with plenty upgraded appliances

Date of Stay:

The house is beautiful and the showers are all upgraded. Bring extra tissue because every restroom came with a half of roll. You have to dump your own trash or pay a fee. If it's a snow storm and you miss a day due to road closures don't expect later check out times. The property manager is very responsive and will answer all questions.

Great Cabin, very well set up and close to everything. owners were great and responded quickly.
